The piles are installed using a skid steer (Bobcat) or tracked excavator, equipped with an appropriately size low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motor. The torque is monitored on a real-time basis, mechanically and electronically by a torque indicator/installation.
The installation equipment is capable to applying adequate down pressure to advance the helical pile into the ground continuously adjusting its position to maintain proper pile alignment.
Helical pile installation causes no vibration that could adversely affect adjoining buildings. This operation also minimizes noise and smoke generation.
